1.) Make a deck of 40 or more Nightmare cards. This deck may be used for any number of players in a single Magic game.
2.) Shuffle the Nightmare deck.
3.) In addition to the other steps of each turn, before each player's untap phase he or she has a Nightmare step.
4.) During a player's Nightmare step he or she rolls a six-sided die. If a 5 or 6 is rolled, draw a Nightmare card. That card is global and effects each player equally. If there was already a Nightmare card in play it is replaced by the new one.
5.) During a player's Nightmare step, that player may pay 1 life to draw a Nightmare card instead of rolling a die.
These are the semi-official Nightmare Magic rules, but feel free to change them in any way you see fit.
Do not trade or sell these cards.
These cards are for educational and entertainment purposes only. Any resemblance to actual Magic: the Gathering cards is purely coincidental. These cards are not legal for tournament play. Lord of the Rings is by J.R.R. Tolkien.
Two of the Greatest Lord of the Rings artists, John Howe and Ted Nasmith, were nice enough to give me permission to use their artwork for my website. Many of their Images can be found at Tolkien Online.
