I do not see how this shows phyrexian influence on mirrodin. You have an Alara block card working for phyrexia? I would believe an infected Sundering Titan or Solemn Simulacrum more.

but it wouldn’t make sense. think of it this way, while Luke and Darth Vader are dueling, the Borg teleport in and assimilate them. Sure that would be a twist, but it doesn’t make any sense.

It makes sense because the Mirrans and Phyrexians almost kill each other off and leave the world’s resources open for the taking.

Alara is still recoiling from the merging of the 5 shards into one glorious whole. They had a 5 way war with Nicol Bolas pulling the strings.

Now if Nicol Bolas turned up on New Phyrexia, I am sure he would bring different friends. He already has an agent on the plane.
