Predicting the Future Part 6: Moxes from M11 to M19 (Part 3) July 5, 2010

The grand finale. Here are my final 3 card ideas for Moxes in the not-too-distant-future.

I don’t know if this would be too weak or too strong. Mox Topaz would give the opponent a chance at having mox-like lands.

Mox Cubic Zirconia could be our first colorless Mox. We aren’t quite ready for a free colorless mana, but coming into play tapped could make it a very powerful card with a potentially fair limitation.

Mox Sol can be quite good, but (a) it won’t help much until turn 3 and (b) it benefits players for playing basic lands. I like the idea of making basic lands worth playing without merely punishing people for playing nonbasic lands.

I could see Mox Sol in the game
Yeah. Mox Sol looks kinda like what they gave us a taste of with Imperiousaur. Wish that would have led to a block theme. Basics matter. Woulda been great with Zendikar. Landfall alongside Basics Matter would have been the nuts. Maybe it’ll happen. Offering up a couple of rare-free tournament grade decks is not too much to ask, in my opinion.
